Martin is a senior marketing communications professional with over twenty-five years’ experience that includes journalism, media and analyst relations, executive communications and corporate brand building.
Martin has worked for top IT industry vendors, including 10 years as analyst relations lead for Hewlett Packard EMEA. This covered several HP business units: networking, storage, servers, software, services and Cloud offerings. He now provides quality guidance to management and marketing teams on all areas of analyst relations, including: messaging, analyst profile-coaching, briefing sessions, commercial, speaking requests, consulting days, advisory and commissioned research papers.
Previously, he spent time at international PR agencies Fleishman Hillard, Ogilvy PR and Firefly Communications. In a previous life, he worked in Toronto, where his experience spanned: in-house PR/AR for Digital Equipment Corp., as well as a journalism spell as networking/telecommunications editor at top IT trade publisher, IDG. Martin’s extensive client experience spans company size and sectors, and includes, among others, IT vendors Getronics, Informix, IBM, AT&T, Dell, BT, Intel, Nortel, Cisco and Xerox, and corporate clients Ernst & Young and PWC.
Born in Scotland, Martin grew up in Canada and has lived, and has links, across North America, France, Ireland, and many parts of Europe. He is partial to a bit of socializing and loves British pubs.
